Jess King’s Story

Jess King composes music both for herself and for others. She began her musical journey playing cello in her middle and high school orchestras. This rooted a deep passion for music, ultimately setting her on the path to her future.

Once she began her undergraduate degree at Davidson College, she quickly became involved in the band culture on campus. She took on the role of band manager, and has been scheduling rehearsals, gigs, renting equipment, setting up events and playing in bands for 4 years.

She began composing in 2020 during the Covid-19 lock down, with her first pieces going unpublished. Her first published album is called “Hey Ditto", which is an acoustic album inspired by a loved one.

Through her various musical endeavors, she has developed various skills in live instrument performance and recording in various instruments, as well as a keen ear for mixing and mastering her music.

She is eager to delve into her professional career, and wants to get involved in your projects! With the goal of becoming a film and video game composer, her skillset is fine-tuned to bring your media to life. She looks forward to collaborating together.
